Welcome to Dan River Rugby Club’s (the Silverbacks’) Website. Our side is a Division III men's rugby team based out of Danville, Virginia. Our team was originally founded in Caswell County, North Carolina in the 1970's. Due to our historical connection with North Carolina, we have continued our affiliation with the North Carolina Rugby Union.
Please explore our site and come visit us for a match and post match rugby social. If you are interested in playing we are always looking for new or used members. Our side is comprised of college students, old boys and everything in between. Each March Dan River Rugby host the RuggerRoast, comprised of a tournament and the mother of all rugby socials, check back here for more info.
